Used, Went, Ate, Studied, Worked
Used: My Experience With Second-Hand Furniture
As a student, I always used second-hand furniture in my apartment. I loved browsing through thrift stores and yard sales to find unique and affordable pieces. I remember one time I used an old wooden crate as a coffee table. It added a rustic charm to my living room and was a great conversation starter when I had friends over.
Went: My Trip to Paris
Last summer, I went to Paris for a week with my family. We visited the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, and Notre-Dame Cathedral. We also went on a river cruise along the Seine River and saw so many beautiful sights. We ate croissants every morning for breakfast and drank wine with our dinners. It was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back.
Ate: Trying New Foods in Thailand
When I traveled to Thailand, I ate so many delicious and exotic foods. One of my favorites was Tom Yum Soup, a spicy and sour soup with shrimp. I also ate Pad Thai, a stir-fried noodle dish with vegetables and sometimes meat. Another interesting food I tried was fried insects, such as crickets and grasshoppers. They were crunchy and surprisingly tasty.
Studied: My University Years
In college, I studied English Literature and enjoyed reading classic novels and analyzing their themes. I also studied creative writing and wrote short stories and poems. Outside of my major, I studied psychology and learned about the human mind and behavior. I spent many evenings in the library, studying for exams and finishing assignments.
Worked: My Time as a Barista
In my early twenties, I worked as a barista at a local coffee shop. I learned how to make different types of coffee and espresso drinks, as well as how to froth milk and decorate latte art. I enjoyed chatting with customers and making their morning coffee routine a little bit better. It was a fun and rewarding job.
